weird weekend

i have a lot i could talk about today

like how apparently i have never really known how to spell the name phyllis

(i really don't think that's right above)

oh i also did the first ever handwritten dave update yesterday

because i wanted to write some idea i had

(while stoned)

(of course)

but i don't think i remember the idea now

i was in a short film this weekend

which was an interesting experience

i think all the stories i have from it will make it sound miserable

but it was more fun than it might sound

UGH my head hurts

anyways

i remember one story in particular

near the end of the shoot

where i was asking the writer for some direction on a scene

(NO I DID NOT ASK WHAT MY MOTIVATION WAS)

(maybe i should have, just to have said it)

(OR MAYBE NOT)

and the whole weekend we were making jokes about how similar i am to my character

and for the scene he said something like

"ok you are following your brother outside"

"and you're thinking about your life and how shitty it is"

"and you're watching your brother who has this strange but genuine connection with someone"

"and all you have is a shit-hole apartment, you don't have anything"

"no one loves you"

and this was also around the time when i was realizing that everyone else on set

was exchanging numbers and e-mails and making plans to do stuff

with, you know, each other

(not me, obviously)

i NAILED that fucking scene
